Go Nakamura was born in Tokyo and moved to Hawaii at the age of 16. He started his photography career as a wedding photographer at La-Vie Photography, known for professional wedding photography with high fashion and artistic photos, but developed his own journalistic documentary approach. In 2009 he moved to New York. He has photographed weddings, art exhibitions, commercials but also various historical events around the world, most recently STS-135: Space Shuttle Atlantis’ final launch in Florida; Occupy Wall Street protests in New York; First Tattoo Conventions in Washington, D.C.; Tohoku, Japan following the devestating earthquake and tsunami.
