CRS Philosophy of Healing

"Since only the mind can be sick, only the mind can be healed. Only the mind is in need of healing."
—"PSYCHOTHERAPY: Purpose, Process and Practice," Supplements to A Course in Miracles

CRS was founded by Spiritual Counselor & Healer to extend the principles of A Course in Miracles (ACIM), which forms the foundation of our counseling and teaching practices. The essence of this philosophy is that we are all perfect, spiritual beings and that all sickness is merely a reflection of mental confusion, of forgetting who and what we truly are. It is pointless to try to heal the body while leaving the mind confused, because the confusion will continue to be reflected by the perception of additional subsequent illnesses. We nevertheless advocate educating ourselves about the workings and care of the body in order to mitigate our suffering and, even more importantly, in order to understand, recognize, and let go of the wrong-minded thought patterns that cause our physical suffering. In the words of George Clinton, "Free your mind, and your ass will follow."

A Course in Miracles Workbook Lessons

77 I am entitled to miracles.

You are entitled to miracles because of what you are. You will receive miracles because of what God is. And you will offer miracles because you are one with God. Again, how simple is salvation! It is merely a statement of your true Identity. It is this that we will celebrate today.

A new scientific study has found that acceptance leads to happiness. Who would have thought?! On average, people become less and less happy until they hit age 44, and then they start to become more happy again as they age and FINALLY start learning to be more accepting. With mind training, whether through A Course in Miracles or Taoism or Buddhism or common sense, we can beat the curve.

"Laughter Yoga combines laughter with yogic breathing exercises. It is a perfect way to laugh and get exercise at the same time. It approaches laughter as a body exercise so it's easy to laugh even if you're depressed or in a bad mood. Last year I highlighted Laughter Yoga on my TV program. I've tried it, and it works." — Oprah Winfrey

Articles of Health

Articles of Health are the writings of Robert O. Young D.Sc., Ph.D., based upon his theory that the human organism is alkaline by design and acidic by function. He suggests that there is only one sickness and one disease which is caused by an over acidification of the blood and then tissues due to an inverted way of living, eating and thinking. There is no way to have health and alkalinity -- health and alkalinity is the way!

Just a few weeks ago, Time Magazine published data that shows the State of Utah spends less per capita on health care than any other state in the country. And yet, that same article published data showing that Utah has one of the longest life expectancies in the U.S. In fact, a separate study cited by Forbes Magazine placed Utah among the top 5 healthiest states in the country as measured by several criteria.

But that's not all. The studies cited by Forbes also indicate that 32% of Utah residents are uninsured. That's about twice the national average.
