CRS Art Gallery

CRS Gallery: an intimate space for big ideas

Art should inspire us to see the world anew. We seek to transcend the traditional object/spectator gallery dynamic by providing frequent opportunities for more active interactions such as workshops and public dialogs with the artists we present.

Opening Receptions are usually held on the first Saturday of each month.

In keeping with our mission, each reception includes a program called Artist Way, which will feature some form of active communication between the artist, guests, CRS staff, and/or the artist's peers.

Information about past exhibitions can be found here. Information about current and upcoming exhibitions is below.

Artist Way: Fred Hatt

Artist Way program at CRS on 5/1/10On Saturday, May 1, 2010 we inaugurated a new program at CRS that we are calling Artist Way. It consists of an interview, conversation, Q&A, or other type of interaction with an artist about his or her creative process, creative discipline, artist mind and artist way of life.

The first program took the form of a conversation between CRS founder Yasuko Kasaki and artist Fred Hatt, whose exhibition of drawings "Healing Hands" opened that day at CRS.

Below is a link to Fred's blog where he provides a transcript of the conversation and photos of the event:
