Gustavo Curi is an independent filmmaker, writer and artist who has been living in New York City for the last 6 years. He has made several short films and documentaries in Brazil that where shown in many film festivals.

In New York, he has developed work in different media such as photography, video and cartoons. He has also shot a trilogy of documentaries about aspects of living in New York City: The Tolerance Trilogy. He has been shooting his films and stills freely utilizing all sorts of equipment: from low resolution (cell phone pictures) to high definition video and 16 mm.

He is a “do-it-yourself” kind of artist, doing work with a lot of passion and heart, drawn from personal experiences shared in the hopes of touching other hearts.
He has published a portion of his work on his personal blog, where through pictures, cartoons and poetic prose he portrays his life and experience as a Brazilian immigrant in New York City.
